Amy Schumer was spotted going out to dinner with a chef... and that triggered a gajillion stories about him possibly being her new boyfriend.
The guy is Martha's Vineyard chef and farmer Chris Fischer, and E! points out that he may actually be the brother of her personal assistant and the world may be jumping the gun. But hey, now we're getting to know this chef, who has a rather impressive history.
Fischer was mentored early on by Mario Batali at Babbo in New York and he also has cooked in Europe. But he returned to his family farm to work with his grandmother after the death of his mother, according to chef April Bloomfield's foreword of his book The Beetlebung Farm Cookbook, which won a prestigious James Beard Foundation Award in 2016.
The book covers a year of seasonal cooking from his farm and gardens in Massachusetts, transitioning from when produce is plentiful to when it must be preserved. He opened a produce market at the farm over the summer and has plans to have a restaurant there as well.
His Instagram account is a feast for the eyes.
Will Amy Schumer abandon the big city for small town farm life? Let's just say it's way to soon to tell.
But if she were to make such a move... looks like she'd certainly be eating well.
